Our closed account service consists to accompany you during the account creation process. We are not a bank and therefore cannot provide any banking service.
You can choose where you want to set up the closed account. It is important to meet the following requirements:
The frozen account must contain sufficient funds to cover the costs incurred for the duration of the planned stay in Germany, unless other proof of funding is provided in the visa procedure. Certain standard rates apply, which are based on the rates of German students. As of January 1, 2023, the assumed annual standard requirement that must be paid in the frozen account when applying for a visa is €11,208.
The account may only allow a certain amount to be withdrawn per month (currently 934 euros for students).
A closed account may only be created with the consent of the blocked beneficiary. The beneficiary of the blocking is either the diplomatic mission or, after entry, the responsible alien authority. Thus the ban notice only ensures that sufficient funds are always available to secure livelihoods. The blocked beneficiary is not entitled to access the closed account.
You can transfer money to a closed account in Germany using one of the following options:
1. International Bank Transfer
You must provide the following information:
Recipient’s name, address, and account type.
Recipient’s name, address and bank.
Account number or IBAN (International Bank Account Number) of the recipient.
Beneficiary bank code BIC/SWIFT.
2. Money Transfer Company
Wise , Western Union , MoneyGram, PayPal
